How to Take Photos of a Computer Screen


You may know how to take photos, but how about in HD? HD photos are photos of a computer screen. This article will show you how to take photos in HD in different kinds of operating system.

EditMethod 1 of 3: Windows 7

    Find what screen you want to take a picture of.

    Find the "prt sc" button in your keyboard.

    If you found it, click it.

    Open Paint.
  5. 5
    Click the "Paste" in the top left corner.
  6. 6
    Now, your screen you print/copy is there.

    Save your picture.

EditMethod 2 of 3: Mac

    Press command-shift-Caps Lock-4 altogether

    Release
  3. 3
    Click on the window you want to take a picture of.

    Now, the picture is saved.

    Click on the "prt sc" button in your keyboard

    Go to paint

    Press Ctrl and v together

    Release

    The picture will now be in the paint.

EditTips

  • Windows and windows 7 to print screen, but the different is how you paste the picture to the paint.
  • In Mac, the picture you take will be PICT file format at the top (root) level of your hard drive directory and labeled "Picture 1". If you keep taking screenshots, you will get "Picture 2", "Picture 3", and so on
